Let's see where we go from here...

I've tried (and failed) several times to start a blog, but for one reason or another I've never got into the habit, despite keeping notes on all sorts of stuff, and being an enthusiastic user of what, in a more innocent age, was called microblogging (via Twitter, Tumblr etc). But inspired by both Paul Watson and Robin Sloan, I've decided to try again, using a website that a). I have complete control over, and b). fails miserably on most points in terms of wider web functionality (and given b). it'll still be 'My tiny part of the "dark forest" of the internet', but perhaps even more dark...).
